Hello, as I mentioned on my previous post, I was going to have some fun recording myself painting. So, yeah, I made my first YouTube video!
My kid was nagging for attention, the camera was rolling and I tried my best to focus on the painting, what a stressful feeling. But atleast I managed to make something :D
Funny thing though is that I spent 10 times as much time trying to get it onto YouTube with proper video settings, I guess I must be stupid or something, since the whole world just dumps stuff into YouTube with no problems at all.
I chose a rather non-original motif. I thought, if I'm going to make a video, it should be of something that appeals to non-art-geeks as well. I loved the movie Avatar of course, so why not do something inspired by that. I was surprised, but it should have been obvious, that there's already a thousand videos on YouTube doing the exact same thing. Oh, well, at least I tried to build up my painting in a proper way, not just sit and detail a traced sketch straight off a still-image from the film, like all the others do.
It took me about 15 minutes to paint this. If anyone find it entertaining I might make another...we'll see how the hits go, make sure to spread it out to friends and people!

It´s that time again...
Added another environment I did a while back. Check it in the Environments gallery.
At the moment I´m working on a some speed paint videos, I though that could be a fun replacement for my old tutorials which I won´t revive again - they are way out of date :) Anyway, we´ll see how it goes, maybe it will be my next update? :)
Until next time, take care.
Another week another update...
Yes, I actually plan to update this site on a regular basis now, hopefully showing some new stuff every week.
So, here I dug something up from last year, a couple of environments I did for PoBros, for a casual game called Born into Darkness. You can find them in the Environments Gallery.
Freia Website Art
Here are a few images for Freia (chokolate company) 2010 website, which we provided artwork for. All the imagery of the site was done by me, Mikael Noguchi and Chester Laquian. We/Artplant was hired by Virtual Garden, which developed the site and idea.
The site and art won a prestigeous award in Norway called Sølvtaggen.
Fin the images in the Environments gallery!
Feel free to visit the site: freia.no
It's in norwegian.
Statoils Corporate Film
Hey, I´m back again with another update to my site. I never seem to find the time to update these days, but at least managed to add some stuff now :) . This is a project I worked on late 2009, it was a corporate film for Statoil. A lot of people from various commersial companies were involved with this production. Me and Artplant was hired by Gimpville to provide some concepts for some of the shots they were going to make as well as some mattepaints for some of these shots. Personally I´ve never done mattepaints before, so this was a new and hard challenge for me. But the after seeing the end result I´m happy, Gimpville did an awesome job with their shots - and I think the final movie has a nice professional quality to it.
Big Update!
Hello again so soon :) Yeah, I´m gonna add a lot of stuff before the end of this year, so I better get to it.
Happy new year!
Hello everyone. It's been a nice chrismas holiday for me this year, an almost double week were I've been able to relax with my family after a very hectic end of 2008. Mostly for me it's been about being with my kids building Lego Star Wars and playing Lego Indiana Jones and Lego Batman on DS and Xbox 360...yup it's that age now for 5 year old son. My youngest, 2 year old son, pretty much wants to watch Ice Age all the time, and that's what he's been up to during the holiday...soon I think my DVD player will refuse that certain dvd and puke it out instantly...(or atleast I hope it will :) )
So, no new art from me to share yet, most of what I did late 2008 I cannot show yet. But, here's a drawing of Wall-E from my 5 year old son. Enjoy!
